Les Paul 1, 2 & 3

The Les Paul 1, 2 & 3 models were produced from 1985-1988 and are unlike other Les Pauls in many ways. They feature a bolt-on neck, slim profile, carved basswood body, Steinberger KB tremolo with locking nut, a rounded off, stubby lower horn, a Gibson-like open-book headstock with diamond inlay and three different pickup configuartions, one of which include single coil pickups. The Les Paul 2 & 3 also came equipped with kill-switches for the humbucker pickups. Although these guitars have the Les Paul name and similar body shape, they have more in common with the Epiphone super-strats of that era, such as the Epiphone I-Series and high-end S-Series' guitars like the S-600, S-800 & S-900. |
